WHAT IS THE EQUINE TOUCH?

The best thing that ever happened to horses.

Darcy in stable 1The Equine Touch is a non-diagnostic, non-invasive, gentle, hands-on system of bodywork, addressing the whole horse with an organised series of unique, gentle, vibrational moves over soft tissue, without any particular focus on any individual problematic areas of the body.

It is not a therapy, although it has been proven to have therapeutic effects on a number of equine problems.  By sending vibrations through the body via the muscle fascia, and using only  hands as tools, we help the body to achieve a balanced state of homeostasis, which, in turn, helps 'kick start' the horse's own natural healing system.
Our mission statement is "Educating Humans to Help Horses" and that is exactly what we do - we teach people how to help their horses by using a hands-on, gentle discipline, and it only takes 3 days to learn how to perform a basic body balance on your own horse!  The Equine Touch is different to many other disciplines in that it offers the horse owner to learn to maintain their own horse at a fraction of the cost of a lot of other disciplines or therapies, The Equine Touch is recognised by universities, vets, equine associations, breeders, trainers, owners and equine therapists internationally.
We don't only work on horses with great success, but also on people.  Riders often have painful backs, hips, shoulders etc., which affects their straightness in the saddle.  This often results in both horse and rider needing work.  Of course, you don't have to be a rider to benefit from this discipline.  Anyone suffering with aches and pains will benefit.
