![]() About Sofi My name is Sofi Ritchie and I am a qualified Equine Touch Instructor and Practitioner, living in Rutland. The Equine Touch is, in my opinion, the best thing that has ever happened to horses and horse owners. I first heard of the Equine Touch in 2001, when a friend of mine had attended the very first course taught in England. She contacted me and said I just had to attend, it was absolutely fantastic. So I did, and that is one of the best things I have ever done.
I have been a practitioner since 2004, and in May 2008, I attended a course in Texas to become an instructor. I now teach at Somerby Equestrian Centre in Leicestershire, as well as visiting clients’ horses in a wider area as a practitioner. I feel strongly that every horse should have an Equine Touch owner. Just think – after as little as 3 days you can balance your horse. It is easy to learn and you don’t have to have any knowledge of anatomy to understand it.
I find that the Equine Touch is a valuable tool that helps horses, both physically and emotionally. I have also attended a 2 day Master Saddlers saddle fitting course, several courses at Kelly Marks 'Intelligent Horsemanship' and for several years have been attending 'Ride with Your Mind' courses with Mary Wanless.
I have done voluntary work at an animal sanctuary for eight years and participated in the British Horse Society charity ride to Jordan.
